Shrimp Time!

Y'all, one of my favorite movies of all-time is Forrest Gump. It's such a wonderful love story, and does an amazing job capturing the bond between a son and his mama. Did you know that some scenes were even shot in Savannah?
You must be wondering why we're talking about movies on Get Cookin'. Well I'm gonna tell you. One of my favorite parts of the movie is when Forrest's best friend Bubba talks about shrimping and all the great ways to prepare shrimp. I can just hear him going on and on "BBQ shrimp, boiled shrimp, garlic shrimp, shrimp cocktail, shrimp salad...". That scene is so funny... but more importantly, so true. This week on Get Cookin we are talking shrimp.
Another reason I love that scene is because just like Forrest, I have a Bubba who loves shrimp. You know him as Uncle Bubba, but to me, he's my brother! Bubba and I always have a blast together, especially when we pickle shrimp! And he has a wonderful restaurant in Savannah called 'Uncle Bubba's Oyster House', which if you ask me, serves some of the finest seafood in the South! If you're ever in town, and you've already eaten at The Lady & Sons, Uncle Bubba's is the place to go!

Adriana vas a tener que translate en english lol No te van a entender ni pio ja ja!
Im a translate for you Adriana, for those who do not understand Adriana's post here is the translation of how she likes her shrimp.
Particularly I like them like this...
Peel 30 shrimp, butterfly them, set aside on a bowl, put lemon juice about 10 lemons, purple onion slices, serrano chiles cut round, 8 chipetin chile, they are very spicy, give it a taste, salt and pepper to taste, put the shrimp on a dish, add the chile water, thats what they call lemon, with the onion, eat this with toast or saltine crackers is delicious, taste it.
Adriana I can be your translator if youd like =) Yo te puedo traducir si quieres, muy sabrosa receta gracias por compartirla.
Tasty recipe thanks for sharing it. -
