HI Paula! It's been many years since I packed lunches for my sons, but one thing I remember always including was a note to let them know how special they were to me! I tried to write the notes on something creative, so they didn't become "old hat" to them. The zanier the material I used to write on, the better! It always reminded them that Mom was thinking of them! SwansSong

We are very lucky to be on the nutrition committee at our school- Me AND the children. Although I make sure they have a good breakfast, our school serves a more nutritious and tasty lunch than I can whip up. Our school follows strict nutrition guidelines and gives the committee members "tastings" before making their buying contracts for the year. Nothing is fried and we are rural enough to have some amazing recipes that have been handed down through the years. There is always the option of salad, too. I love eating with the kids when I'm there volunteering! I do love your new book, though! The kids love to cook. Thanks for all you do! -

I am so glad that I am past the time in my life. My children loved their school cafeteria food. I didn't have to pack their lunches. My youngest is 18 years old and is in College, but he still lives with me and never complains about the cooking even when I have soup and sandwich night.
Paula your the best. You are like the energizer bunny you keep going and going and going. -

Hey Y'all
I need ideas for lunches that don't require refrigeration. My 6 year old d is so tired of PB&J sandwiches but there are no fridges in her classroom. She loves yogurt but it needs to stay cold.. Please help me make her lunches more enjoyable.. -

I have to be creative with my lunches. I have five kids and four of them take their lunch to school. Two of them have nut allergies. So, unless I use soy butter PB&Js don't work for them.I make my own home "lunchables". I also make Pizza quesidillas. Put pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni in between two tortillas and microwave and it's like they have cold pizza for lunch. I have the ice packs that I put in their lunch, but I will sometimes use frozen gogurts in their lunch to keep them cool. I have other things that I do also, but those are two ideas. I think you're wonderful Paula and I love your shows! -
