Welcome to Get Cookin'!!!
Hey y'all!
Yes, I say y'all a lot, but what can I say, I'm from the South. Thanks so much for stopping by Get Cookin'. I think we are all going to have a lot of fun here. This site is run by me, my family and friends, and the good folks at EQAL.
Get Cookin' is a weekly interactive cooking show here on my website, PaulaDeen.com. Each week I pick a dish and my friends and family and I talk about it, you all submit your versions of the dish, I cook the dish, and then pick my favorite submissions from the community. Simple as that!
Every Thursday on Get Cookin’, I will pick one of my favorite dishes to be the theme of the week. For the next seven days, I will talk about the dish, have friends and family talk about the dish, and cook the dish in a video. My cooking video is posted the following Wednesday. When I announce the dish on Thursday, y’all are challenged to come up with your own creative versions of the dish. Over the course of the seven days, you can upload photos, videos and blogs to your profile pages, showcasing your versions of the dish. These dishes will be featured in the “Community Blog” section. Every Wednesday I will pick my favorite community submitted recipes and announce them on the Get Cookin’ page.
So sign up for a profile page and Get Cookin'! If I get like thousands of messages, pretty please don’t be mad if I don’t write back or write on your board.

this is am awesome site cannot get enough of paula deen and her family . my whole family just loves the deens when they come over to eat and i have cooked some thing different they all say is this a paula deen recipe ? lol i always say is there any other recipe but paula "s lol the best to ya all and you family paula and thanks for all you do . -

Hello Paula and community, I've followed your posts on facebook, and have finally become a member of your community! I must admit, I hate to cook, but I do it every day for my children. However, I LOVE TO EAT! especially southern food. Paula I learned about you in 2006, and was sincerely moved by your story. You are wonderful! This is an awesome website!!, I love cooking and I have never shared recipes this way. I find it to be so much fun for my family and I. I look forward to the challenges ever since I joined, Im constantly messing with food lol my family loves it of course and I get them more involved in the kitchen with me, they try to come up with recipes of their own, I love that they are following my footsteps in the kitchen, makes me feel proud that they are learning what I teach them! My energy raising my family has even more meaning and purpose when they learn what I teach. Im rambling now arent I sorry lol.
Your video clips are so funny, make me laugh everyttime I watch them, and you are such a sweet person. I have never met you personally, but you just radiate vibes of motherly love and nurture to me.
